Death row, in English-speaking countries that have capital punishment, is the place, often a section of a prison, that houses prisoners awaiting execution. The term is also used figuratively to describe the state of awaiting execution (“being on death row”), even in places where no special facility or separate unit for condemned inmates exists.
After persons are found guilty of an offense and sentenced to death, they remain on death row during appeal and habeas corpus procedures, and if those are unsuccessful, until execution.
METHODS OF EXECUTION IN US
Lethal injection is the most widely-used method of execution, but states still authorize other methods, including electrocution, gas chamber, hanging, and firing squad.
The primary means of execution in the U.S. have been hanging, electrocution, the gas chamber, firing squad, and lethal injection. The Supreme Court has never found a method of execution to be unconstitutional, though some methods have been declared unconstitutional by state courts. The predominance of lethal injection as the preferred means of execution in all states in the modern era may have put off any judgment by the Court regarding older methods.
Because of a resistance by drug manufacturers to provide the drugs typically used in lethal injections, some states now allow the use of alternative methods if lethal injection cannot be performed. Controversies surrounding the method to be used have delayed executions in many states, contributing to an overall decline in the use of the death penalty.
FIRING SQUAD
Firing squad still remains a method of execution in Idaho, although lethal injection is allowed as an alternative method. The most recent execution by this method was that of John Albert Taylor. By his own choosing, Taylor was executed by firing squad in Utah on January 26, 1996.
For execution by this method, the inmate is typically bound to a chair with leather straps across his waist and head, in front of an oval-shaped canvas wall. The chair is surrounded by sandbags to absorb the inmate’s blood. A black hood is pulled over the inmate’s head. A doctor locates the inmate’s heart with a stethoscope and pins a circular white cloth target over it.

Standing in an enclosure 20 feet away, five shooters are armed with .30 caliber rifles loaded with single rounds. One of the shooters is given blank rounds. Each of the shooters aims his rifle through a slot in the canvas and fires at the inmate.
The prisoner dies as a result of blood loss caused by rupture of the heart or a large blood vessel, or tearing of the lungs. The person shot loses consciousness when shock causes a fall in the supply of blood to the brain. If the shooters miss the heart, by accident or intention, the prisoner bleeds to death slowly.
Electrocution
Seeking a more humane method of execution than hanging, New York built the first electric chair in 1888 and executed William Kemmler in 1890. Soon, other states adopted this execution method. Today, electrocution is used as the sole method of execution only in Nebraska. In 2008, the Nebraska Supreme Court declared it “cruel and unusual punishment,” leaving the state without a method of execution.
For execution by the electric chair, the person is usually shaved and strapped to a chair with belts that cross his chest, groin, legs, and arms. A metal skullcap-shaped electrode is attached to the scalp and forehead over a sponge moistened with saline.
The sponge must not be too wet or the saline short-circuits the electric current, and not too dry, as it would then have a very high resistance. An additional electrode is moistened with conductive jelly (Electro-Creme) and attached to a portion of the prisoner’s leg that has been shaved to reduce resistance to electricity. The prisoner is then blindfolded.
After the execution team has withdrawn to the observation room, the warden signals the executioner, who pulls a handle to connect the power supply. A jolt of between 500 and 2000 volts, which lasts for about 30 seconds, is given. The current surges and is then turned off, at which time the body is seen to relax.
The doctors wait a few seconds for the body to cool down and then check to see if the inmate’s heart is still beating. If it is, another jolt is applied. This process continues until the prisoner is dead. The prisoner’s hands often grip the chair and there may be violent movement of the limbs which can result in dislocation or fractures. The tissues swell. Defecation occurs. Steam or smoke rises and there is a smell of burning.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice William Brennan once offered the following description of an execution by electric chair:
“…the prisoner’s eyeballs sometimes pop out and rest on [his] cheeks. The prisoner often defecates, urinates, and vomits blood and drool. The body turns bright red as its temperature rises, and the prisoner’s flesh swells and his skin stretches to the point of breaking. Sometimes the prisoner catches fire….Witnesses hear a loud and sustained sound like bacon frying, and the sickly sweet smell of burning flesh permeates the chamber.
At postmortem, the body is hot enough to blister if touched, and the autopsy is delayed while the internal organs cool. There are third degree burns with blackening where the electrodes met the skin of the scalp and legs. According to Robert H. Kirschner, the deputy chief medical examiner of Cook County, “The brain appears cooked in most cases.”
Gas Chamber
In 1924, the use of cyanide gas was introduced as Nevada sought a more humane way of executing its inmates. Gee Jon was the first person executed by lethal gas. The state tried to pump cyanide gas into Jon’s cell while he slept.
This proved impossible because the gas leaked from his cell, so the gas chamber was constructed. (Bohm, 1999) Today, five states authorize lethal gas as a method of execution, but all have lethal injection as an alternative method. A federal court in California found this method to be cruel and unusual punishment. The last use of a gas chamber was on March 3, 1999, when Walter LaGrand, a German national, was executed in Arizona.
For execution by this method, the condemned person is strapped to a chair in an airtight chamber. Below the chair rests a pail of sulfuric acid. A long stethoscope is typically affixed to the inmate so that a doctor outside the chamber can pronounce death. Once everyone has left the chamber, the room is sealed. The warden then gives a signal to the executioner who flicks a lever that releases crystals of sodium cyanide into the pail. This causes a chemical reaction that releases hydrogen cyanide gas.
The prisoner is instructed to breathe deeply to speed up the process. Most prisoners, however, try to hold their breath, and some struggle. The inmate does not lose consciousness immediately. According to former San Quenton, California, Penitentiary warden, Clifton Duffy, “At first there is evidence of extreme horror, pain, and strangling. The eyes pop. The skin turns purple and the victim begins to drool”
Caryl Chessman, before he died in California’s gas chamber in 1960, told reporters that he would nod his head if it hurt. Witnesses said he nodded his head for several minutes (Ecenbarger, 1994). According to Dr. Richard Traystman of John Hopkins University School of Medicine, “The person is unquestionably experiencing pain and extreme anxiety…The sensation is similar to the pain felt by a person during a heart attack, where essentially the heart is being deprived of oxygen.” The inmate dies from hypoxia, the cutting-off of oxygen to the brain.
At postmortem, an exhaust fan sucks the poison air out of the chamber, and the corpse is sprayed with ammonia to neutralize any remaining traces of cyanide. About a half an hour later, orderlies enter the chamber, wearing gas masks and rubber gloves. Their training manual advises them to ruffle the victim’s hair to release any trapped cyanide gas before removing the deceased .
Lethal Injection
In 1977, Oklahoma became the first state to adopt lethal injection as a means of execution, though it would be five more years until Charles Brooks would become the first person executed by lethal injection in Texas on December 7, 1982. Today, 37 of the 38 states that have the death penalty use this method.
When this method is used, the condemned person is usually bound to a gurney and a member of the execution team positions several heart monitors on his skin. Two needles (one is a back-up) are then inserted into usable veins, usually in the inmates arms. Long tubes connect the needle through a hole in a cement block wall to several intravenous drips.
The first is a harmless saline solution that is started immediately. Then, at the warden’s signal, a curtain is raised exposing the inmate to the witnesses in an adjoining room. Then, the inmate is injected with sodium thiopental – an anesthetic, which puts the inmate to sleep.
Next flows pavulon or pancuronium bromide, which paralyzes the entire muscle system and stops the inmate’s breathing. Finally, the flow of potassium chloride stops the heart. Death results from anesthetic overdose and respiratory and cardiac arrest while the condemned person is unconscious.
Medical ethics preclude doctors from participating in executions. However, a doctor sometimes will certify the inmate is dead. This lack of medical participation can be problematic because often injections are performed by inexperienced technicians or orderlies.
If a member of the execution team injects the drugs into a muscle instead of a vein, or if the needle becomes clogged, extreme pain can result. Many prisoners have damaged veins resulting from intravenous drug use and it is sometimes difficult to find a usable vein, resulting in long delays while the inmate remains strapped to the gurney.

Captain Hanley gave an overview of the history of remote-controlled aircraft leading up to the advent of the uninterruptible autopilot, which he asserts was employed on 9/11 to remotely guide aircraft to their targets.
From 2001 to 2003, as a 35-year United Airlines pilot and former naval aviator, I attempted to speak out about the 9/11 farce. After numerous face-to-face and phone conversations, and emails/letters to union and management officials, I sent in federally-mandated safety and security reports that implicated the Federal Aviation Administration. I was immediately removed from the flight schedule without just cause. ALPA, my pilot union, refused to legally represent me in this matter.
Subsequently, I attempted to arrange meetings to include my personal attorney with my union and United management to no avail. They refused. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from my JFK flight manager that the chief flight surgeon at United had ordered him to put me on sick leave without warrant and without my having seen an aeromedical physician. Running out of sick leave time and desperate, I called my chief pilot as I was about to go nonpay, which I considered it to be punitive for speaking the truth. He advised me that before I could return to flying, I would be required to see a United flight surgeon with the stipulation that I would agree to do whatever the company demanded of me. Reluctantly, I agreed knowing that my next step would be to file an FAA Whistleblower Protection report after the meeting.

Upon meeting the flight surgeon, he advised me that I would be required to see a company-appointed mental health professional, which, to my misfortune, I agreed. Without going into detail, I was permanently grounded for life as a pilot. Knowing that I had been railroaded off the property, I filed an FAA Whistleblower Protection Report that was stonewalled for the next four years by the Departments of Transportation, Homeland Security, and Justice. Realizing how corrupt the government was and how deep the 9/11 corruption ran, I finally gave up. The entire ordeal cost me my 27-year marriage, the alienation of my two children, my career and reputation as a pilot, and the ruination of my finances…all for speaking the truth.
This led me down the path to become a 9/11 Truth Advocate. The U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps on Wednesday issued a warrant for the arrest of former Vice President Michael Pence, a JAG source told Real Raw News.
The issuance marks the second time “White Hat” military authorities have made use of powers granted by the Insurrection Act of 1807 to pursue the turncoat Republican. As reported last May, Pence became the target of an international military manhunt after JAG obtained evidence of his traitorous endeavors; Pence and the Deep State had collaborated to confirm a stolen election. He spent a month on the lamb, zig-zagging the world in a chartered jet, but was ultimately captured when U.S. Special Forces caught him unaware in a Virginia hotel. At the time, he avoided military prosecution by promising to apologize to Trump, abandoning future political ambitions, and agreeing to sign a written confession naming his Deep State co-conspirators. But Pence apparently reneged on that pledge and receded into the shadows, only recently reemerging back on the political landscape.
“I had no right to overturn the election,” Pence told the conservative Federalist Society earlier this month. “The presidency belongs to the American people and the American people alone. And frankly, there is no idea more un-American than the notion than any one person could choose the American president. Donald Trump was wrong and his actions injurious to democracy. Joseph Biden is the President of the United States.”

Col. Troy Havener, commander of the Fresno-based 144th Fighter Wing of the Air Force and Air National Guard, which has fighter jets parked at March, will help enforce a no-flying zone that will be in effect around SoFi Stadium in Inglewood while the NFL championship game is played Sunday, Feb. 13.
Raquel Girvin, regional administrator for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Western-Pacific Region, said that an hour before kickoff, and throughout the game, airplanes without special authorization and drones will be barred from flying within 30 miles of the stadium, up to an altitude of 18,000 feet.
With the soaring popularity and number of drones, officials from several agencies addressed drone owners at a news media event on the Riverside County base Wednesday, Feb. 9.
“We’re excited to see the hometown Rams in the big game against the Bengals and we hope fans will celebrate safely,” said Girvin, who oversees Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and U.S. territories in the Pacific. “But we encourage everyone to please leave your drones at home.”
Unauthorized pilots and drone operators could face fines and criminal prosecution, Girvin warned.
Passenger flights going in and out of the Los Angeles airport won’t be affected by game-day restrictions, she said.
No problems are anticipated during Super Bowl LVI, said Amir Ehsaei, special agent in charge of counterterrorism for the FBI in Los Angeles.
“At this time, we have no indication of any credible threat to the Super Bowl or any related events,” he said.
Ehsaei, though, urged people to report suspicious activity, including activity on the internet.
If something does threaten security at the Super Bowl, there is a plan to deal with that, said Air Force Maj. Andrew Scott with the Continental U.S. NORAD Region, headquartered at Tyndall Air Force Base near Panama City, Florida.
Scott encouraged fans to have fun and “watch the game, and we will watch the skies. There will be a robust air-defense system in place on Super Bowl Sunday.”
Other partners in the defense team include the Civil Air Patrol and the Customs and Border Protection’s air and marine operations.
Havener said speedy fighter jets could be dispatched on a moment’s notice from several California military bases. One of those is March, home of the 144th Fighter Wing’s Detachment 1, commanded by Lt. Col. Mark Jansky.
“There are pilots on alert 24-7, 365,” Jansky said, he being one of them.
He isn’t scheduled to “be on alert” Sunday, but other March pilots are — and will be ready to spring into action.
Flying at 600 mph, Jansky said, an F15 or F16 taking off from March would arrive at SoFi Stadium in four or five minutes.
F16 fighters can fly up to 1,500 mph, according to an Air Force website. But, Jansky said, “we have to go subsonic. No one wants to hear us go supersonic and boom Southern California.”
If asked to intercept a wayward plane, Jansky said an attempt would be made to communicate with the person flying the aircraft.
“If it’s a mistake, that’s the very quickest way to get them to change,” Jansky said. “If not, we’re going to come up and intercept them.”
Pulling near the stray plane, the fighter pilot would rock the fighter jet’s wings.
“If they respond with a wing rock, that means they probably know what’s going on and who we are, and they’re going to follow us,” Jansky said.
If the pilot were not to respond, other action would be taken, he said, without elaborating.
Havener, the 144th Fighter Wing commander, said extensive preparations have been made.
A flying exercise took place over Inglewood on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 8, involving F-15 fighter jets, a KC-135 Stratotanker, a UH-60 helicopter and other aircraft, a NORAD news release states.
“Just like the Rams and the Bengals have been practicing their plays, we also maintain readiness and practice our plays,” Havener said.

Cobra has been infiltrated by the Humanoid Nordics of the Rogue Federation who are part of the Orion Group. These Nordics keep on saying that they are from the Pleiades and they are here to save us. But in fact they part of the Rogue federation which in turn are part of the Orion Group. The Durham investigators uncovered evidence that shows Hillary Clinton’s team paid operatives to “infiltrate” the Trump Tower and then President Trump’s White House servers to link Trump to Russia.
This is not surprising. TGP reported on this in April 2019 based on our expert review.
Back in 2019, The Gateway Pundit reported — A review of the data pertaining to the accusations in the phony Steele dossier about a Trump-Russia Bank connection discovered the sources used is most likely the same source the FBI used to obtain a FISA warrant to investigate the Trump-Alfa Bank connection.
This nightmare for President Trump all started in June 2016. After news broke that the Democratic National Committee had been hacked, a group of prominent computer scientists went on alert. The group of individuals, led by a Hillary supporter, started snooping around the Trump Tower computers to allegedly see if these servers had also been hacked.
This group was led by Indiana University professor and staunch Hillary supporter, Jean Camp. Professor Camp, according to Circa was a staunch Hillary supporter:
A respected computer scientist who raised concerns about a possible connection between President Trump and a Russian bank is an unabashed Hillary Clinton supporter who made multiple small donations to the Democrat’s presidential campaign around the time she and her colleagues surfaced the allegations.
Some techies uncovered that the Trump Tower servers began to be bombarded with the same exact invalid look-up requests that use the words “trump” and “alfa” together, which were automatically placed in the servers’ log file by the server. According to the New York Times, computer logs showed that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages to the Trump servers.
At about the same time, the FBI received a complaint from “cyberexperts” about a possible Trump-Alfa Bank connection, which led the FBI to investigate into a Trump-Alfa Bank connection. According to the New York Times:
In classified sessions in August and September of 2016, intelligence officials also briefed congressional leaders on the possibility of financial ties between Russians and people connected to Mr. Trump. They focused particular attention on what cyber experts said appeared to be a mysterious computer back channel between the Trump Organization and the Alfa Bank, which is one of Russia’s biggest banks and whose owners have longstanding ties to Mr. Putin.
At about the same time that the FBI began its investigation, Christopher Steele began pushing the now-debunked claim that Trump was connected to Alfa Bank. In mid-September Steele submitted his memos, and at least one of these included the Trump-Alfa Bank connection. Steele submitted these memos to the press and to the FBI.
And now we know that Fusion GPS was pushing this bogus story to far-left Slate Magazine.
And Hillary Clinton pushed the conspiracy knowing HER TEAM was behind the bogus accusations!

There now is evidence lawyers paid tech specialists, including university personnel to infiltrate Trump servers.
Lawyers for the Clinton campaign paid a technology company to “infiltrate” servers belonging to Trump Tower, and later the White House, in order to establish an “inference” and “narrative” to bring to government agencies linking Donald Trump to Russia, a filing from Special Counsel John Durham says.
Durham filed a motion on Feb. 11 focused on potential conflicts of interest related to the representation of former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman, who has been charged with making a false statement to a federal agent. Sussman has pleaded not guilty.
The indictment against Sussman says he told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker in September 2016, less than two months before the 2016 presidential election, that he was not doing work “for any client” when he requested and held a meeting in which he presented “purported data and ‘white papers’ that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel” between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, which has ties to the Kremlin.
But Durham’s filing on Feb. 11, in a section titled “Factual Background,” reveals that Sussman “had assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two specific clients, including a technology executive (Tech Executive 1) at a U.S.-based internet company (Internet Company 1) and the Clinton campaign.”
…Durham’s filing states that in July 2016, the tech executive worked with Sussman, a U.S. investigative firm retained by Law Firm 1 on behalf of the Clinton campaign, numerous cyber researchers and employees at multiple internet companies to “assemble the purported data and white papers.”
“In connection with these efforts, Tech Executive-1 exploited his access to non-public and/or proprietary Internet data,” the filing states. “Tech Executive-1 also enlisted the assistance of researchers at a U.S.-based university who were receiving and analyzing large amounts of Internet data in connection with a pending federal government cybersecurity research contract.”
“Tech Executive-1 tasked these researchers to mine Internet data to establish ‘an inference’ and ‘narrative’ tying then-candidate Trump to Russia,” Durham states. “In doing so, Tech Executive-1 indicated that he was seeking to please certain ‘VIPs,’ referring to individuals at Law Firm-1 and the Clinton campaign.”
